The airstrip is surrounded on 3 sides by Ngoma forest. The main park road runs north to south at the eastern end of the strip.
The strip is approx. 10km south of Lake Iteszi Iteszi and a few kms south of the ZAWA headquarters.
There is a lot of wildlife activity around the airstrip, especially elephants.
Surface has been good generally, however we are not aware of any aircraft that have used the airstrip in 2015.
